This Valentine’s Day-themed activity pack is perfect for your preschool & pre-k littles. It’s filled with 8 literacy & math printables plus 2 hands-on project ideas for a total of 10 sweet Valentine’s Day activities!

These activities, which can be used in your homeschool preschool or your early childhood classroom, are designed to help your little ones build beginning literacy & math skills that will prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

All activities come in both full color and black/white options. I’ve also included directions for 3 levels of learners: Voyagers, Explorers, and Inventors. That way, you can find the best way to use these activities depending on your little one’s level.

4 LITERACY ACTIVITIES:

1. Valentine’s Day Vocabulary Words: Includes 15 Valentine’s Day-themed word cards plus a “Find and Color” page.

2. Feed the Love Monsters Syllables: Your little one will LOVE feeding the Love Monsters words with 1, 2, 3, or 4 syllables. Includes 32 picture cards.

3. Be My Valentine Letters & Sounds: Help your little one practice beginning letter sounds with this fun activity! They will find the matching letter stamp and heart picture and add them to the envelope. Stamps have both uppercase and lowercase letters on them.

4. Love Bug Rhymes: Help your little one improve their rhyming skills with Love Bug Rhymes! They will spin the spinner, name a rhyming word, and fill in their bar graph.

4 MATH ACTIVITIES:

1. Heart Ten Frames: Your little one will choose a ten frame and count the hearts. Then they will show the correct number on the ten frame & find the matching number to place in the box. Includes numbers 0-10.

2. Count the Gumballs: This slider activity gives your little one a chance to practice counting and one-to-one correspondence. They will slide the slider to reveal one number, and then they will slide the gumball machine slider to reveal the matching gumballs. Last, they will add gumballs to the mat to show the number. Includes numbers 1-10.

3. Valentine Friends 2D Shapes: Your little one will choose a card, name the shape, and cover the matching shapes on the card. Includes 12 shapes: rectangle, circle, square, heart, crescent, oval, triangle, diamond, octagon, hexagon, pentagon, and trapezoid.

4. Number Heart Puzzles: Have your little one practice subitizing by matching up the correct dice to the matching hands. Once they do, they’ll reveal the number in the middle of the heart. Includes numbers 1-9.

2 HANDS-ON ACTIVITY IDEAS (no printables, just directions):

1. Love Monster Fluffy Slime: This recipe for slime is the fluffiest, squishiest, and best-smelling slime around! Use it to make Love Monsters for Valentine’s Day!

2. XOXO Graham Crackers: Give your little one “kisses & hugs” by making these XOXO graham crackers.
