EASTER BOOKS FOR PRESCHOOL
Easter Bunny: Touch & Feel is a rhyming book that has a different animal on each page with a different texture to explore. Kids will love the large photographs (not illustrations) and enjoy the lyrical rhythm of the words.
Happy Easter, Biscuit! is a lift-the-flap book that has little ones follow Biscuit while he’s hunting for Easter eggs. This is a great option if your kiddos like the Biscuit books.
Peeps: The Sweetest Easter is a fun and colorful book that comes with Easter stickers inside! It talks about what Peeps like to do for Easter, and it also includes egg holders in case you’re going to decorate eggs with your little ones.
Where Are Baby’s Easter Eggs? is a classic book from Karen Katz. Her books are always colorful, interactive (lift-the-flap), and practice positional words like under, behind, and in. The Easter version follows baby as she searches for her Easter eggs.
The Bunny Rabbit Show is a super fun Sandra Boynton board book. Chances are, you’ve already read at least one of her other books (like Barnyard Dance or Snuggle Puppy or Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs!) This one is not specifically an Easter book, but it’s great if your little ones love humor and singing (And as you can see from the cover, this book is well-loved in our house!)

Chester’s Colorful Easter Eggs is about a sweet rabbit named Chester who colors & hides Easter eggs for his friends. This book is a great way to review naming and reading color words.
The Night Before Easter tells the story of what happens on the night before Easter. In this story, the Easter bunny visits a house to drop off eggs, jellybeans, marshmallow chicks, and more! This book follows the same rhyming pattern of the Christmas classic, Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Llama Llama Easter Egg tells all about Llama Llama’s Easter morning. He wakes up and has lots of Easter fun, and ends up finding a big surprise at the end! This is a very sweet book with colorful illustrations and only a few lines of text per page (great for short attention spans!)
Happy Easter, Mouse! features the same Mouse from the If You Give A Mouse...series. When Mouse wakes up on Easter morning, he finds lots of colored eggs all over the house. But who could be hiding all of the eggs? This is a great book if your little one is working on identifying colors or reading color words.
Five Little Bunnies follows the same rhyme as the classic story Five Little Pumpkins. In this story, five little bunnies are hiding Easter eggs for little ones to find. The picture are so colorful, and your little one will love searching for the eggs on each page.
The Easter Bunny’s Helpers starts with Easter Bunny needing some help with Easter this year. His friends Emu, Kangaroo, Koala, and Cockatoo are happy to help! This rhyming books is one of my favorites because it has beautiful illustrations & great rhymes, plus I love that the characters are animals that aren’t usually in stories…I mean, what other Easter book has an emu in it?! Ha!
I Love You, Honey Bunny is not specifically an Easter book, but it’s beyond sweet and has bunny ears! This rhyming book is all about how much you love your honey bunny. Your little one will love cuddling up with you & making a special memory reading this story, plus the ears are soft & bendable!
Peeps: Peeps in Pajamas is a Little Golden Book that’s sure to be a hit with your little ones! It’s a silly story that talks about what Peeps do at the end of each day, including getting ready for bed, reading stories, and having a pillow fight. If your kiddos love Peeps for Easter, this is the perfect book for them!
Biscuit’s Pet and Play Easter is another fun Biscuit book that is interactive (touch & feel). Little ones can explore the textures on each page as Biscuit goes hunting for Easter eggs.
The Story of Easter presents the story of Easter and Jesus’s sacrifice in simple words and illustrations for the littlest ones in our families to understand.
