Description
FALL PHONOLOGICAL AWARENESS GAMES
This set of Phonological Awareness Games was designed to go with your Fall theme for your preschool, pre-k, or kindergarten littles! These games can be used at home with your little ones or in your early childhood classroom.
And the best part about these games? You don’t need ANY supplies!
These researched-based games are all done orally. They’re designed to take 5-15 minutes a day and last for 2 weeks.
You can fit them in whenever you have a chance, such as during breakfast or lunch, right after naptime, while driving in the car, while waiting at a restaurant, during table time with your students…the possibilities are endless!
The purpose of these games is to help your little ones focus on the speech sounds of English. We want them to recognize, produce, & manipulate the sounds of our language in order to set a strong foundation for reading.*
*Science of Reading research shows that having a strong grasp of these skills is one of the BEST predictors of future reading success. These games are a wonderful way for students to focus on these crucial skills. Read more about them in this blog post.

Each level has 2 weeks worth of games. You will start Week One on Monday with “Word Awareness” and work your way down through the ten skills. Then you’re done for the day!
You follow this same routine on Tuesday and each day for the remainder of the week. Then you’ll print the pages for Week Two and start over on Monday. It’s that easy…just print and play!
Other Ways to Play:
- Pick & choose which skills you want to cover based on your kids’ abilities, your time constraints, or the focus of your literacy lesson for the day/week…you don’t have to focus on all ten skills every day.
- Break these games up & play over the course of the entire day…you don’t have to play them all at one time!
