ISH ACTIVITIES
These preschool & pre-k book-inspired activities are perfect to use after you read Ish by Peter H. Reynolds. (Book is not included in your purchase). They can be used at home or in your early childhood classroom. Each activity comes in both color and black/white.
The activities in this pack include:
LITERACY: Short Vowels: This is a hands-on way to practice listening to short vowels in the middle of a word. Your little one will slide the slider so one picture is showing on the art easel. Then they say the name, determine the medial vowel, and slide the letter strip to reveal that letter. Includes 5 different strips of pictures (each with 5 pictures to choose from) and an answer key so you know which word to say for each picture.
MATH: Painting Patterns: Have your little one practice different types of patterns with this fun activity! They can duplicate patterns, extend patterns, find the missing pictures in patterns, and then create their own patterns. Includes 10 Duplicate/Extend Pattern Cards and 8 Create Your Own Pattern Cards.
FINE MOTOR: Color by Number: Have your little one practice number recognition and fine motor skills with this fun coloring activity! Includes different printables so you can meet your little learner at their level.
GROSS MOTOR: Sidewalk Chalk Hopscotch: Get your little one up and moving with a classic game of hopscotch! This game can be used to practice any foundational skill, including letters, numbers, shapes, and more!
CRAFT: Watercolor Reveal: Your little one will be amazed at the magic that happens with this watercolor reveal project! (*Supplies are not included.)
SNACK: Paint Palette Crackers: These sweet & salty crackers are sure to be the perfect snack while reading this book! (*Supplies are not included.)
READING RESPONSE: Journal Writing Page & Bookmark: Your little one will have the opportunity to draw/write about the book & keep their special bookmark for years!
